Nigel Murray

​Nigel joined Booths in 2015 and progressed from his initial appointment as Commercial Director to the role of Chief Executive Officer.  He has worked across the UK and Europe within the Food & Non-Food retail sector all his working life with roles at Safeway, Tetley, D&A, Asda Wal-Mart and Greggs before making his way back to Lancashire to join the business which was responsible for inspiring him into food retailing in the first place. 

Nigel is an Ambassador for Lancashire, a Board Trustee of Active Lancashire and is actively involved in pushing for change to develop a better UK Food System.  Nigel is married, has  2 grown up children who are both studying ..… and one dog, Bob ! Outside of work he spends most of his spare time on his bike, enjoying food and drink and watching all kinds of sport.
