Customer Assistant (Specialist)

The Role

Our customers will be your main focus, and everything you do will be with their shopping experience in mind. As a Specialist Customer Assistant, there are two main areas of the store you could expect to be working.

Counters

As part of our Counters team, you will be working with a variety of meat, fish and dairy products. You will have high degree of customer interaction and should therefore have a friendly, polite and approachable manner.

Café

As a member of our Café team you could be supporting in the kitchen making items from the menu or working as part of the Front of House team making beverages, serving customers or keeping on top of cleanliness within the dining area.

You don't need retail experience to join our family. As with our with our bespoke training you will become an expert in delighting our customers with our warm northern welcome and creating a magical shopping experience for our customers.

Working Pattern: 

6 hour contract - Café Assistant: Working a Saturday and have the availability of one other working day in the week. This café is fast paced and very busy café. Experience in working in a busy environment is essential. Barista experience preferred but not essential as full training would be given. Have the ability to work on their own as well as a team.

30 hour contract -  Café Assistant: Working a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  This café is fast paced and very busy café.Customer service experience and experience working in a fast paced environment is essential. Barista experience desirable but full training will be given.  Hospitality and food service experience is preferred.

7.5 hour contract - Specialist Counters Assistant: Working across Deli and Hot food counter. You will be required to work either a Saturday or Sunday and one other working week day. Experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given. Customer service experience is required, as you will be interacting with customers on a daily basis.

Salary

21+: £12.30 p/h

18-20: £10.30 p/h

Under 18: £9.80 p/h
